Surrender to paradise on the spice island of Zanzibar. Turquoise waters, powder-white sand, and a private villa with your own infinity pool. Days are spent snorkeling coral reefs, exploring historic Stone Town, and dining barefoot on the beach.
Day 1
Arrive at Zanzibar International Airport and transfer to your private beach villa with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Settle in, unpack, and take a first swim as the light fades. Dinner is a welcome feast served as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, with the murmur of the tide for company.
Day 2
Explore the historic lanes of Stone Town on a guided walk, visiting the old fort, the bustling markets, the former slave market and the ornate carved doors that tell the island's story. Continue to a spice plantation to smell and taste cloves, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg picked fresh around you, then return to your villa for a relaxed evening.
Day 3
Take a boat to Prison Island to meet its colony of giant Aldabra tortoises and learn the island's history, then snorkel the surrounding reefs among colourful coral and shoals of tropical fish. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch before returning to your villa for an afternoon of rest and a sunset drink on the terrace.
Day 4
A relaxed day on the powder-white sand, with a beachside massage for two in the afternoon using local oils and gentle ocean sounds. As the tide comes in, dinner is served barefoot on the beach, lit by lanterns and accompanied by the rhythm of the waves.
Day 5
Spend the morning at leisure in the pool or on the sand, then board a traditional dhow for a sunset cruise along the coast. With drinks and canapes on board, watch the sun sink into the sea and the sails glow orange, before returning to shore for dinner.
Day 6
Join a hands-on Swahili cooking class and learn to prepare local dishes using fresh island ingredients - coconut curries, pilau and spice-rich sauces - then sit down to enjoy your creations for lunch. The rest of the day is yours to relax, with a final sunset to savour over the water.
Day 7
After a final breakfast by the pool and a last swim, transfer to the airport for your onward flight, bringing your Zanzibar honeymoon to a close with the scent of spice and salt still in the air.
