Day 1
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and meet your private chauffeur for the scenic drive north to Nanyuki, watching the landscape rise towards Mount Kenya. Check in to your mountain lodge, where a fire crackles and the peaks fill the windows. Enjoy a relaxed dinner with views over the highlands as the evening cools.
Day 2
After breakfast, set out with a private guide on a scenic hike on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya, walking through ancient forest and open moorland with sweeping views of the peaks and the surrounding countryside. Keep an eye out for colobus monkeys and birdlife along the trail, then return to the lodge for a late lunch and an afternoon by the fire or in the gardens.
Day 3
Spend the day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy on a private game drive, home to black and white rhino, lion, elephant and the Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary. Stop for a picnic lunch in the bush, learn about the conservancy's pioneering conservation work, and return to your lodge as the light softens over the plains.
Day 4
Visit the Equator line for a private ceremony and photo stop, complete with a demonstration of water swirling in opposite directions on either side, followed by a hearty bush breakfast served on the savannah. The afternoon is yours to relax at the lodge, perhaps with a spa treatment or a stroll through the gardens.
Day 5
Indulge in a couples spa treatment in the morning, then spend the afternoon at leisure. As evening falls, you are driven to an exclusive treehouse set above the bush for a private dinner, with a cocktail in hand as the sun sets and the first stars appear over the highlands.
Day 6
A full day to enjoy the lodge and its surroundings - horse riding through the estate, a guided garden walk, a round of golf, or simply the view of Mount Kenya from your suite. Optional activities can be arranged on request, from fishing to cultural visits.
Day 7
Enjoy a gentle morning game drive or hike, followed by lunch back at the lodge. In the evening, savour a farewell dinner prepared with farm-to-table ingredients, toasting your last night beneath the mountain and the wide African sky.
Day 8
After a relaxed breakfast, drive back to Nairobi with your chauffeur, arriving in good time for your onward flight or connection. Your Mount Kenya romance comes to a close with the peaks fading in the mirror.
