6 Days Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari

Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its baobab trees, large elephant herds and acacia woodland. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before overnighting at your lodge near the park.

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park and spend the afternoon on game drives along the lake shore, looking out for the park's tree-climbing lions, flamingos and abundant birdlife.

Cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands and descend into the vast plains of the Serengeti, with game viewing en route. Arrive at camp in time for an evening game drive.

A full day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti. Between roughly June and October this is prime Great Migration viewing territory, and predators are regularly sighted around the herds.

After a morning game drive, transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and overnight at the camp on the crater rim, enjoying the cooler highland air.

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact caldera, for a half-day game drive on the crater floor, home to the Big Five and vast wildlife concentrations. Ascend after a crater-side picnic lunch and drive back to Arusha, where the safari ends in the late afternoon.
